Brian Statler - Junior:  Brian is a first year cross country runner at the high school level.      As a junior, Brian transferred to our school from Missouri.  He came out for cross country at the last minute.  Since he wasn't planning on coming out until he was recruited, he came to us with no summer running under his belt.  Despite, not being in running shape, Brian showed one of the greatest amounts of desire and determination our team has seen in years.  Brian's team spirit and devotion to the team is unbelievable.  Brian ran with an injured foot at the Peoria Notre Dame Invitational and ran a personal best by almost 3 minutes.  Brian ran another personal best at the East Peoria Invitational.  He worked his way onto the News-Gazette Prep Cross Country Leader list in October.  Brian ran a lifetime personal best at the East Peoria Invitational where he ran a time of 21:52.
