As a Freshman, Aaron joins us with junior high cross country experience.
Aaron has quickly improved in the early weeks of our practices. Aaron
has really stood out as having a ton of team spirit. Despite, being
new to the team, Aaron has still set a team example for cheering on the team.
His teammates really appreciate hearing Aaron's words of encouragement.
He has established himseld as an important part of our team as a vocal leader.
Aaron ran well in his first high school race. He ran a time of 27:17
in the Charleston Invitational. Aaron showe a lot of guts at the Springfield
Invitational. He ran a 16:21 and helped his team win the Springfield
Invitational freshman race team championship. Aaron earned a spot on
the News-Gazette's prep cross country leaders list in September. Aaron
had most of the most amazing races at the Peoria Notre Dame Invitational where
he ran a 22:48. He improved an amazing 4:39 from his previous lifetime
personal best. His massive improvement earned him the 19th spot on
our team's most improved over a career list. Aaron ran another solid
race at the East Peoria Invitational. He ran a 23:55 on this challenging
course for his second fastest time of the year. Aaron ran a season
best at the Metamora Invitational. He ran a strong time of 22:45. Aaron
ran a lifetime personal best in his final race of the season. Despite
the slow course at Conference, Aaron was one of only 3 of our runners to
run a personal best. Aaron cut off 34 seconds to run a time of 22:14.
His time moved him up to the #15 spot on our most improved over a career
list with a 5 minute and 13 second overall improvement. |
