| Coach Merv Correll was a 2010 Mahomet-Seymour High School Boys
Cross Country Hall of Fame Inductee. Coach Merv Correll coached cross country at Mahomet-Seymour for 2 years during the 1971 and 1972 seasons. Merv was a standout basketball player in high school. He can still be found on some all-tournament team records for his accomplishments. Merv was a physical education teacher and driver education instructor at Mahomet-Seymour high school. Merv also coached boys basketball during most of his teaching career. He was asked by the administration if he would be willing to coach cross country due to his coaching abilities. Merv can be credited for being the first cross country coach for our program. |
